Alka Goel, a renowned Tanjore artist holds an MPhil degree in Maths with a Gold medal adding to her laurels. She had started her work as a Tanjore Artist almost a decade ago. A passion for art which was a hobby for many long years, turned into a full time profession. She believes that painting is born, when an idea is conceived in Head, nurtured in Heart and brought to life on Canvas with Hands.
With more than 100 paintings to her credits, she conducted her solo exhibition at Annalakshi hall, Coimbatore, Academy of art and culture, Shimla, Himanchal Pradesh and also displayed her works at various exhibitions. Her work was widely appreciated by Media and all. Her paintings adorn lots of homes, restaurants and hotels. She has set up new trend by experimenting (Jagad Janani, Vishva Vinayaka) with various hues of black and dark brown in her painting instead of traditional usage of vibrant colours like red and blue etc. Each painting is a beautiful reflection of detailed and elaborate patterns and splashing colour combination. She is making sincere attempts to spread this form of painting by conducting workshops and classes.
